Candace Moore began working with TransGender Publishing in the fall of 2017, shortly after the company opened. She transcribed many hours of recorded interviews with trans elders and, eventually, took responsibility for training and supervising four other transcriptionists. She was instrumental in preparing for and providing a welcoming presence for TransGender Publishing at the Moving Trans History Forward conference at the University of Victoria in 2018. Recently, she has taken responsibility for the organization and analysis of transcribed materials in preparation for writing life histories. She is not only Margot’s assistant, colleague, and enthusiastic supporter, she is also her daughter.
